Meeting Information
All meetings are held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month from September through June (with exceptions during months where the second Monday is a holiday).
Doors open at 9 am.
Show-and-tell begins at 9:30 as members bring in their latest completed projects and share their stories. A brief, business-type meeting follows immediately where current guild activities are discussed, new members are welcomed, future plans are presented, etc. Following a refreshment break, the main speaker of the day will begin her/his talk at 11:00. The meeting ends at the conclusion of the featured presentation but is followed by an educational session that we call Skill Builders. A brief educational presentation is held each month where members share a favorite or new technique from their quilting repertoire or demonstrate construction techniques for a item guild members have expressed interest in.
All these activities come to a close at approximately 12:30 and members proceed home, anxious to return next month.
Members are asked to check in at the membership table when they arrive. Guests are welcome and may attend a lecture/meeting for a $10 fee which shall be applied to membership dues if she/he joins the guild that day.
Meeting cancellation and inclement weather policy:
During months with possible bad weather or snow storms, the guild follows the school closing schedule of the Trumbull School District. If Trumbull schools are cancelled, then the meeting will be cancelled. If school is merely delayed, our meeting will be held at 10:30. Please check local TV broadcast of school closings.
If information is known enough in advance, a special notice will be also be placed on the Home page of this website.
